Michael T. Troncone, MPH, FACHE

Mr. Michael Troncone is a hospital administrator and consultant with The Mihalik Group, LLC. For five years Mr. Troncone served as clinical faculty for the Department of Education of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. His specialties include assisting health care facilities in planning for the leadership, human resources, quality and environment of care portion of the Joint Commission survey process, as well as the development of continuous survey readiness programs for healthcare organizations.

Mr. Troncone has extensive administrative, operational, and consulting experience and has achieved a successful track record in the health care arena. He is an experienced presenter and author of various health care, management, and environment of care topics. Some of his accomplishments include overseeing multiple construction projects such as a new ambulatory care center, state-of-the-art orthopedic unit, emergency generator and infrastructure replacement, professional offices and surgical suites. He oversaw the development of an Emergency Preparedness Plan utilizing the Incident Command System and served as Incident Commander; on September 11, 2001, directing responses as the third closest hospital to the World Trade Center. He has been responsible for the development and implementation of the Plan for the Management of the Environment of Care at a variety of organizations.

Mr. Troncone currently serves as an Administrator, Patient Intake Services for Calvary Hospital, Bronx, New York. He is an Assistant Professor, Department of Community and Preventive Medicine for the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. His past appointments include Vice President and Senior Operating Officer for the Hospital of Joint Diseases, New York, New York; and Associate Administrator and Director of Human Resources, Associate Administrator for Hospital Operations, and Director of Environmental Services for Calvary Hospital, Bronx, New York.

Mr. Troncone holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the College of Staten Island, City University of New York. His MPH in Health Policy and Management is from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He also has a diploma in Human Resource Management from New York University in New York, New York. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
