Ms. Angela Brice, an NCQA consultant at The Mihalik Group, brings extensive expertise in NCQA Accreditation standards and guidelines. She serves as an NCQA Administrator Surveyor, conducting surveys for Health Plans, Managed Behavioral Health Organizations (MBHOs), and CMS Models of Care. Ms. Brice is a seasoned healthcare quality executive with a strong background in strategic development, operations, and accreditation.

Previously, Ms. Brice held the role of Staff VP, Business Performance at Carelon Health (Elevance), where she was instrumental in setting and implementing national and market-level operational strategies to enhance Medicare Star measure performance and state Medicaid and commercial quality measures. She provided strategic leadership for practice operations across multiple service lines, integrating Star performance into strategic planning and operational execution with a focus on member-centric quality. She successfully achieved short- and long-term targets related to clinical quality, patient and provider/team member experience, access, operational efficiency, and financial performance through metric development, monitoring, and continuous process improvement. Ms. Brice also provided strategic updates to the Executive Team on quality and risk adjustment performance, implemented national vendor-led programs for quality improvement, and developed strategies to enhance performance in Special Needs Plans (DSNP, CSNP, and ISNP), including opportunities in Risk Adjustment.

Her career includes roles such as Senior Director of Quality Improvement at Health Net of California, Vice President of Quality Process and Improvement at Managed Health Services, Director of Quality Assurance at Blue Shield of California, Vice President of Quality and Improvement and Accreditation at Evergreen Health Cooperative, and Associate Director of Clinical Quality at United Healthcare.
