Enrique Ferreira, MAMgt, BASc 

Project Manager

Mr. Enrique Ferreira brings over two decades of diverse healthcare experience to his role as a Project Manager Director and an NCQA consultant at The Mihalik Group, LLC. His expertise spans clinical care, administration, process improvement, emergency management, and patient safety.

 

Previously, Mr. Ferreira served as the Organizational Quality Improvement and Accreditation Manager at AlohaCare, where he spearheaded the development, modification, and implementation of systems to meet National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) accreditation and certification requirements. He led quality improvement (QI) programs with a data-driven approach aligned with strategic objectives and ensured compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, he managed provider complaints processes, and member Grievances, and Appeals Department in compliance with local and state requirements.

 

Mr. Ferreira's extensive career includes over 29 years in Department of Defense medical facilities and agencies worldwide. As a Global Health Specialist, he promoted interoperability among US State Department, military agencies, and foreign governments and civilian healthcare facilities. He collaborated with NGOs to plan and execute medical information exchanges, training exercises, and humanitarian assistance events. He served as the Medical Lead for military and local healthcare facilities in Europe and Asia, overseeing mock audits in preparation for Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (CAHO) and The Joint Commission (TJC) Accreditation. He developed evaluation requirements, data collection methods, and documentation templates and conducted readiness evaluations through functional, and full-scale audits involving military and civilian healthcare assets.

 

Currently, Mr. Ferreira is an adjunct professor at Wayland Baptist University School of Business in Plainview, Texas, where he teaches undergraduate courses on Long-Term Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Delivery Systems, and Administration and Organization of Health Facilities.

 

Mr. Ferreira earned his undergraduate degree in Applied Sciences and his Master of Arts in Management with a focus on Healthcare Administration from Wayland Baptist University in Mililani, Hawaii.
