Olivia M. Booth, BS, MPH

Ms. Olivia Booth is an Environment of Care consultant with The Mihalik Group. She conducts Joint Commission environment of care mock surveys with a focus on the Environment of Care, Life Safety, Emergency Management, and aspects of NFPA compliance, education in environment of care standards. She has over 5 years of experience performing Life Safety assessments including building walkthroughs to determine compliance with NFPA 101, document reviews, written reports of deficiencies, and follow-up with the client. 

 

Olivia also served at the United States Peace Corps as Community Health Support Agent. She served as a Community Health Volunteer in Senegal, where she trained local health workers on healthcare best practices, how to access national health data, and data analysis. These competencies were used to make decisions based on region specific health needs. Ms. Booth other position included Health Policy Senior Associate at KPMG, LLP, where she worked at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CIIO) and performed review of individual state legislation and developed strategic recommendations for state outreach programs to increase issuer participation and attract small businesses to the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP). Developed health legislation tracker and briefed CMS executives on upcoming legislation that may impact the Affordable Care Act (ACA). 

 

In the past, she worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as Senior Consultant (Public Trust Clearance) The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) VA Central Office (VACO), where she developed VA policy on managing departing senior official records. Oversaw the concurrence process and coordinated with multiple offices to ensure the Directive and Handbook were published by a set deadline. Coordinated and facilitated meetings, developed timelines for the completion of projects, and reported on the status of projects to ensure on-time completion. 

 

Ms. Booth holds Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The Catholic University of America in Washington DC and a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology from the George Washington University in Washington DC. Ms. Booth holds the following certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) NFPA 101-Life Safety Code, and National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) NFPA 99 – Healthcare Facilities Code.
