
Dr. Andrea Bradford, MD, MMM
Sr. Physician Consultant
Dr. Andrea Bradford is an NCQA Physician Consultant with The Mihalik Group, LLC, specializing in NCQA surveys for Health Plans, Managed Behavioral Health, and Utilization Management organizations. She provides expertise in NCQA training, quality audits, and consultative support to help organizations prepare for accreditation.

Previously, Dr. Bradford served as Associate Medical Director at Optum Behavioral Solutions, where she oversaw clinical supervision of Care Advocates, conducted clinical rounds, managed case staffing, and reviewed appeals. She also collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
Her leadership experience includes serving as Vice President–Medical Director at ValueOptions, Inc., where she directed the utilization review process, provided clinical oversight to Care Managers, and co-chaired Utilization Management and Quality of Care Committees. She contributed significantly to quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and NCQA accreditation efforts.

Dr. Bradford has also served as Medical Director for the State of Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Addictive Diseases (MHDDAD), and as Vice President for Medical Services at Magellan Behavioral Health.

Board-certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Bradford holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, and both a Certificate in Medical Management and a Master of Medical Management from Tulane University School of Public Health.
