Dr. Clint Koenig, MD, MA, MSPH

Dr. Clint Koenig is a physician consultant with The Mihalik Group, LLC and an active NCQA surveyor with over 14 years of experience. He is also a distinguished national speaker for NCQA, where he educates healthcare professionals on clinical standards across various healthcare settings, including health plans, Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMH), Special Needs Plans (SNPs), and Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) organizations.

 

Dr. Koenig's career has been marked by impactful leadership roles in healthcare organizations. Previously, he served as the Senior Medical Director at OhioHealthy in Columbus, Ohio, overseeing clinical operations within a system-based health plan. He has also held pivotal State Medical Director positions in New Hampshire and Ohio, influencing healthcare policies and initiatives at the state level.

 

His extensive leadership background includes roles as the Health Plan Regional Chief Medical Officer at Universal American in Syracuse, New York, focusing on managing government programs, and as the Director for Utilization Management at Monroe Plan for Medical Care in Rochester, New York, where he contributed to healthcare management strategies.

 

Dr. Koenig received his Medical Doctor (MD) degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY, and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Missouri. He furthered his education with a fellowship at the University of Missouri, earning a Master's degree in Public Health (MSPH) and Journalism. He holds active medical licenses in New York and Ohio.

 

With his comprehensive expertise in healthcare quality improvement and patient care, Dr. Koenig continues to play a pivotal role in advancing clinical standards and enhancing healthcare delivery across diverse healthcare settings.
