Keysa Shaw-Sanders is an NCQA consultant with The Mihalik Group, bringing more than 21 years of healthcare experience as a Registered Nurse specializing in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and accreditation. As an NCQA surveyor, she conducts reviews across multiple program types—including Case Management (CM), Case Management for Long-Term Services and Supports (CM-LTSS), Health Plan Accreditation (HPA), Wellness and Health Promotion (WHP), and Credentialing and Recredentialing (CAPs)—using NCQA survey tools and methodologies. She has successfully guided numerous organizations through accreditation preparation and compliance initiatives.

Before joining The Mihalik Group, Ms. Shaw-Sanders served as Manager of Accreditation at AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies, where she directed corporate NCQA accreditation activities, managed staff, led quality improvement efforts, and developed educational content in case management and network management. She also served as a Quality Improvement Coordinator II at Centene Corporation’s Louisiana Healthcare Connections, focusing on accreditation compliance, data analysis, and quality initiatives.

 

Ms. Shaw-Sanders earned a Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Management with a minor in Communications from Southern New Hampshire University, an Associate of Science in Nursing from Our Lady of the Lake College, and an Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy from the same institution.
